Ms Theresa Sim

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
Theresa Sim is an Assurance Partner, Chief Financial Controller, Business Transformation Leader and a member of the Leadership Team of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Singapore.
Ms Sim has more than 20 years of professional experience in providing audit and related advisory services including due diligence for purposes of mergers / acquisitions and other consulting work. Her clientele base covers a wide spectrum of industries which includes property development and management, retail, oil and gas, manufacturing and trading; cutting across SGX listed, government-linked and multinational companies.
Through servicing a diversified client base, she has accumulated in-depth knowledge of group audit coordination and reporting requirements in various GAAPs and can value-add in areas of financial, governance, controls and risk management.
She is presently also the Executive Committee Member / Honorary Treasurer of the Singapore Children’s Society and Board Member of Wildlife Reserves Singapore Conservation Fund.

Ms Tan Li San

National Council of Social Service
Ms Tan Li San joined the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) on 6 January 2020 as CEO-Designate, and took over as Chief Executive Officer on 1 June 2020.
Prior to this, Ms Tan has held various positions in the Singapore government including roles in the Ministry of Communications and Information, Ministry of Manpower, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Ministry of Finance, Public Service Division, and the Civil Service College.
She was a member of the Social Service Sector Strategic Thrusts (4ST) Steering Committee, and served on the boards of several Social Service Agencies before joining NCSS.

Mr John Tang

GIC Pte Ltd
John Tang is a Managing Director at GIC’s private equity group. GIC is the fund manager for the foreign reserves of Singapore, which manages in excess of US$100 billion. In his 19 years at GIC, John has invested in private equity and venture capital funds and companies around the world, especially US and China.
John currently heads the global CIO’s Office for private equity and infrastructure investments and has been an investment committee member for more than 10 years. He also co-chairs GIC’s Technology Business Group. Prior, John was Head of the US Funds and Co-Investment Group based out of New York, and Head of Global Venture Capital based in Silicon Valley.
Starting his career as a system’s engineer at IBM, John joined strategy firm Bain & Company after graduating from Harvard Business School in 1996. He graduated from Imperial College UK with a BEng (First Class Hons) and MSc in Computing.
John is Singaporean and currently serves on the NTU (Nanyang Technological University) Endowment Investment Committee, and is a board member of RaiSE, the sector developer for social enterprise in Singapore. He also serves as a selection panel member for the World Economic Forum Tech Pioneers Program.

Ms Anna Yip

International Digital Services, Singtel
Ms Anna Yip, 54, was appointed CEO, International Digital Services on 1 January 2025. The new business unit, expanded from the previous Business Development function, focuses on building new telco-related digital services in the region, strengthening partnerships and enhancing synergies across the Singtel Group and regional associates.
Prior to this, Anna was Deputy CEO, Singtel Singapore, a role she has held following the integration of the Singapore consumer and enterprise units. Anna joined Singtel as Deputy CEO, Consumer Singapore on 7 December 2020 and was appointed CEO, Consumer Singapore since 1 April 2021.
Before joining Singtel, Anna was CEO and Executive Director of Smartone Telecommunications, driving its operations in Hong Kong and Macau from 2016 to 2020. Under her leadership, Smartone was named Best Mobile Carrier by the Communication Association of Hong Kong in 2019. Prior to Smartone, Anna headed up Mastercard’s operations in Hong Kong and Macau. She was previously a partner with McKinsey & Company in Greater China where she led both the Financial Institutional Group and payments practice.
Anna was appointed to the Board of Commissioners of Telkomsel on 1 June 2021. She also sits on the Board of Advisors of Singapore Management University’s Institute of Service Excellence and is an independent non-executive director of BUPA (Asia) Limited, as well as a Council member of the Singapore Cancer Society.
Anna holds a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy in Management Studies from Oxford University and a First-Class Honours degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Mr Greg Unsworth

Greg has been based in Singapore for more than 16 years and has more than 30 years of international experience with PwC. Greg is PwC’s digital business leader and leads the Risk Assurance practice in Singapore. He has also previously served as PwC’s technology industry leader for the Asia Pacific region. Greg is a member of our firm’s leadership team and has extensive experience providing professional services to companies globally, having also previously worked in our London, Sydney and Tokyo offices.
Greg has extensive experience providing audit and advisory services to various clients, particularly in the technology, media and telecom sectors and has specialised in serving these sectors for more than 20 years. Greg also has extensive experience with IFRS, US GAAP and other international reporting frameworks. Greg works regularly with PwC’s global specialists on trends and developments related to digital technologies and has previously served on the Technologies and Research & Development sub-committee for the Singapore Government’s 2025 Infocomm Media Masterplan.

Mr Hasan Abdul Rahman

Halaal Food Manufacturing Pte Ltd
From a young age, Hasan has always been involved in the family business, assisting wherever possible, taught by his parents the importance of sustenance. After completion of National Service, he joined the family business full time and was trained by his parents to manage the operations of their hawker stall and food manufacturing facility. The training encompasses: food outlet management, culinary skills for food production, sales & marketing, logistics & warehousing, and administrative duties (HR, invoicing, etc)
In 2015, Hasan was given the responsibility by his parents to take up ownership of the company and to transform from a hawker-styled business to a corporate organization with a mission and vision based on values. New business activities were incorporated such as importation and butchery of meat & poultry. With the support of government grants, digitalization and automation projects were implemented resulting in an increased efficiency and effectiveness of administrative and manufacturing processes, and new revenue stream from e-commerce platforms.
Halaal Food Manufacturing Pte Ltd was incorporated in 2019 as a holding company for Pondok Abang and Straits Butchering Company. With the increased output and intensive business development endeavours, he has successfully distributed Halal frozen food to the food service sectors (supermarkets, frozen food retailers, F&B establishments).
2022 was marked as a milestone as he embarked on a regionalization journey, successfully exporting to Vietnam and incorporated subsidiaries in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Ms Lim Ee Ling

Ee Ling Lim is the former Executive Director of Market Launch at 500 Global, a multi-stage venture capital fund with more than $2.7 billion in assets under management that has invested in over 2,800 fast-growing technology companies, including 50+ companies valued at $1B+.
At 500 Global, Ee Ling oversees the strategic development and implementation of 500’s startup programs in strategic and high potential markets globally, including Egypt, Georgia, Canada, Israel, Taiwan, Japan, and more. She also advises governments, corporations, and foundations in designing and developing startup ecosystems and innovation programs.
Ee Ling is also the co-founder of a K-12 edutech startup equipping students with digital technology and entrepreneurship education, and Wavesparks (f.k.a Young Founders Summit), a startup program for high school students in Asia that provides aspiring teenage founders with workshops and mentorship to launch impact-based startups.
Previously, Ee Ling was an Investment Banker with Bank of America Merrill Lynch and CIMB Investment Bank, advising large listed corporations on M&A, equity and debt capital market transactions in Southeast Asia.
Ee Ling is a Council Member of National Youth Council Singapore and National Youth Fund Advisory Committee, and is also recognized as Singapore’s 100 Women in Tech by the Infocomm Media Development Authority.

Ms Melanie Ng

Blackstone Finance Group
Melanie is a Managing Director in the Blackstone Finance Group and is the Head of APAC Corporate Finance based in Singapore. Ms. Ng provides supervisory oversight to the day-to-day management of all accounting, tax, treasury management, corporate and regulatory reporting for Blackstone’s APAC corporate entities.
Before joining Blackstone in 2019, Ms. Ng worked at BlackRock in Singapore as their Head of Controller for Southeast Asia, Korea, and Taiwan. Before her 5-year career at Blackrock, she spent 5 years at MGPA as the Global Business Controller.
Prior to that, Ms. Ng held various senior finance leadership roles at Nomura and Lend Lease, both in Australia and Singapore. Ms. Ng received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a qualified Chartered Accountant of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1999. She also served as the Council Member of the Singapore Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand from 2021-2022.
Ms. Ng actively champions talent growth in Singapore and gender diversity & inclusion (D&I) in the workplace. She has been a Female Champion with the Financial Women’s Association of Singapore since 2019. She speaks fluent English, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Jiak See has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, auditing and business, financial and accounting advisory services. She has managed assignments in industries such as F&B, retail, logistics, insurance, property, manufacturing, and hotels. She has considerable experience in M&A, fundraising, business expansion strategy, management consulting, corporate and shareholder restructuring, debt restructuring, due diligence, IPO, RTO, valuation, financial planning, and post-merger integration.

Mr Suhaimi Zainul-Abidin

Quantedge Capital
Mr Suhaimi Zainul-Abidin is CEO of Quantedge Capital and is director of Quantedge Foundation, which supports charitable causes in Singapore with a focus on improving social mobility.
He was formerly Partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP., advising financial institutions and blue-chip corporations in financial transactions. Suhaimi is a strong believer in skills-based volunteering and leverages on his corporate experience to contribute on the boards of various organisations, He currently holds directorships at National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, Skillsfuture Singapore, National Environment Agency, The Esplanade, Quantedge Foundation and TalentTrust Limited. He is also Chairman of Learning Gateway Ltd and Tri Sector Charity Consultants.
He previously served as Council Member of the Charity Council and during which time he chaired the Charity Transparency Framework Review Committee and was a Committee member for the review of the Code of Governance for Charities.

Alfie Othman

Alfie Othman heads the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise, raiSE.
Alfie has had a successful banking career of over twelve years in the banking sector. Alongside his private sector work, Alfie has devoted significant time to the public sector and civil society.
Alfie is recognised as a Social Enterprise practitioner within Singapore. He founded his own social enterprise to support ex-offenders, single mothers, and persons with disability. Since then, he has also served as advisor and mentor to many social enterprises in Singapore and in the region. Before raiSE, Alfie was the Executive Director of the Social Enterprise Association.
Since 2016, Alfie has been appointed as a Fellow at SUSS, providing advice on Fintech and Inclusive Finance.

Subashini Balakrishnan

Subashini oversees the Membership Engagement team and Corporate Services team. She champions the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in supporting and nurturing the social entrepreneurial community in Singapore. In raiSE’s endeavor to encourage every enterprise to be a Social Enterprise, the team is at the forefront of welcoming interested corporations to make Social Enterprises a part of their sustainability journey.
Concurrently, she also heads the Strategic Communications unit that manages the marketing, branding, and public relations efforts to increase awareness of and raise support for Social Enterprises in Singapore. Prior to joining raiSE in 2017, Subashini had led various teams in the areas of Enterprise Development, Marketing and Communications, and Corporate Development. She has 15 years of exposure in varied industries both in government and the private sector.
Subashini is passionate about the impact that inclusive businesses can have on our communities and takes a personal interest in the narration of their impact through integrated communications. Having managed her own fashion retail business, she has an astute understanding of the trials and tribulations of a local startup founder and is known for her sensibilities and contagious enthusiasm.

Koh Wei Shan

Koh Wei Shan heads the Strategic Development team at raiSE, overseeing the functions of Strategic Communication, Digital Transformation, Membership and Impact Frameworks, Partnerships and Benefits, and Collaborative Financing.
With her communication and venture-building expertise, she has guided social enterprise founders from diverse business sectors to develop sustainable business and impact growth strategies. Notably, she ran 2 cohorts of the Sustainable Impact Accelerator, Asia’s first VC-based accelerator for Socially Impactful Enterprises, powered by Quest Ventures and raiSE.
Wei Shan started her career in Ogilvy Singapore, working with local and regional brands such as HSBC Singapore, Hilton APAC, BMW Performance Motors Singapore, MCCY (Our SG), and Skillsfuture SG on their social media and integrated communications campaigns. She also volunteered her time to lead Ogilvy’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives including organising staff volunteer sessions, fundraising activities, and working on pro-bono marketing campaigns for Non-Profit Organisations.
Wei Shan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Double Major in Marketing and Strategic Management) from Singapore Management University.

Tham Jierong

Ho Yen Yee

Yen Yee develops and facilitates programmes for raiSE and our ecosystem partners to share insights and experiences in the areas of business and social impact, thereby developing capabilities in social enterprises, companies, and social service agencies looking to create social impact in a sustainable manner. She also oversees the engagement of SEs and stakeholders to elevate raiSE’s value and credibility as a membership body, through the curation of membership benefits, refinement of raiSE’s membership evaluation framework, and organising of outreach activities.
Yen Yee was a winner of the Singapore International Foundation’s Young Social Entrepreneurs programme in 2012. She co-founded a social enterprise – IMPad – to provide low-cost and biodegradable sanitary pads for women in rural India. Her volunteering experience with various non-profit organisations also gave her a good understanding of the social issues in Singapore and developing countries, strengthening her desire to help the less privileged.
Prior to joining raiSE, Yen Yee was part of the founding teams of three media and digital solutions start-ups. With her experience in start-ups and the social sector, she wants to support aspiring social entrepreneurs in creating sustainable solutions to address social needs.

Sera Peh

Prior to joining, Sera worked at the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) where she evaluated grants for individual beneficiaries. She looks forward to witnessing a society where every enterprise endeavours to become a Social Enterprise.

Serene Tay

Serene Tay oversees Capability Development at raiSE as part of the Membership Engagement team. She focuses on developing Social Enterprises’ leadership and enterprise capabilities, implementing initiatives to build a vibrant community, and providing advisory to entrepreneurs, C-suite corporate representatives, and industry partners.
Prior to joining raiSE, Serene spent ten years working with businesses to achieve profitable growth, create social value, and build their capabilities by providing strategic consultation on strategy and organisation transformation, corporate planning and development, strategic marketing, regional development, operational improvement and capacity development. Serene is familiar with social issues through her volunteering work with vulnerable women, children, and youths, with a focus on learning and skills development.

Joshua Yeo

Joshua oversees the conceptualisation and development of processes, tools, and roles that enhance the raiSE’s capability in nurturing the social entrepreneurial community in Singapore. Prior to joining raiSE, Joshua was a design consultant at a strategic design agency formed by IDEO alumni, where he honed his skill for developing innovative solutions to complex problems in the healthcare and venture building sectors, through product and service design.
Joshua firmly believes that any business can ignite positive change through clear strategic intent and operational foresight for sustainable and impactful solutions, that impact the community at large. During the course of his Bachelor’s degree, Joshua explored the opportunity for businesses to implement social impact initiatives, as an integral part of their business model, in his dissertation on the intersection of Corporate Social Responsibility, social impact, and design.
Joshua graduated first class honours in Bachelors of Design Communication from LASALLE College of the Arts.

Siti Nurdzafirah

Siti is part of the Membership Engagement team at raiSE.
She is an advocate for social entrepreneurship because it gives companies a structure for achieving business success while doing good for the community. It also serves as a continued source of inspiration for individuals, particularly the youths, to continue making constructive contributions to the economy and society.
Having served the community in various capacities at Yayasan Mendaki and other organisations in Singapore, Siti aspires to make a meaningful contribution to raiSE by supporting the growth of the ecosystem and the Social Enterprise members.

Nur Anissa

Iqbal Jalil

Passionate in driving positive advancements in the tech industry, he started his career with a venture capitalist firm before moving to Homage, a healthcare Social Enterprise by assisting in their partnerships and sales efforts, as well as growing their community outreach within Singapore before recently supporting a tech MNC in their pre-sales efforts.
Iqbal graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business and Management.

Margareta Siswana

Before joining raiSE, she worked in sales and operations roles in the education, learning, and development industries. Her previous experience in the education sector, particularly conducting entrepreneurship workshops for secondary school students, has shaped her into a social entrepreneurship advocate. With a passion for customer service, she aims to provide a great member experience to our members.
Margareta graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Mansi Maheshwari

Mansi is a versatile communications and engagement specialist who has built valuable brand equity for some of the world’s leading brands, including Unilever, Prudential, Ogilvy, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, United Parcel Service (UPS), Kimberly-Clark, Heineken, World Kitchen, the Singapore Tourism Board, the National Arts Council, Louis Vuitton and Accor (Sofitel So); small businesses, social enterprises as well as community & charitable organisations. She has also been associated with raiSE for over 8 years, as a communications consultant and friend of the organisation.

Cassandra Chow

Cassandra manages partnerships with other ecosystem stakeholders to benefit and grow the Social Enterprise sector.
Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London (SIM), she interned at a charity advocating for skills-based volunteering, to bridge the gap between corporates and non-profit organisations. This spurred her on to take up the role at raiSE, to leverage her expertise and interest to continue working with partners in building the Social Enterprise ecosystem in Singapore.

Andrea is part of the Public Relations, Events, and Partnerships team, leveraging communications to grow and enhance the visibility of the Social Enterprise community in Singapore.
With a background in Sociology and Communications, Andrea uses the transformative power of communication to shape perceptions, deepen understanding, and drive positive impact. Prior to joining raiSE, she gained professional experience in both the non-profit sector and the broader healthcare sector. She believes that while global change is complex, small steps towards change, much like the focused efforts of a social enterprise, can create a significant ripple effect of lasting impact.

Fayola Tan

Fayola is part of the Resarch & Strategy team at raiSE. Her passion for social issues led her to explore critical areas such as impact investment and sustainability in Southeast Asia through research. Before joining raiSE, Fayola dedicated her time to volunteering with various non-profit organizations focused on supporting vulnerable communities such as youths-at-risk facing unwanted pregnancies and foreign domestic workers.
Fayola sees the world as an interconnected network—where small changes can lead to significant social impacts that affect the whole system. This perspective drives her commitment to make a meaningful difference through her work at raiSE for the greater good. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Honours in Geography.

Pauline Toh

Pauline was seconded from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) where she worked as a Finance Business Partner, providing strategic financial guidance and support to the departments within the Ministry.

Filza Hanani

Filza supports the Finance and Human Resource functions at raiSE. Having graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Management from the University of London, Filza served the community through various areas at the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, also known as Muis, and various institutions in Singapore, helping to ensure governance and compliance with statutory regulations on Finance and HR matters.
She hopes to contribute meaningfully to raiSE through the empowerment of our people in order to serve the sector.

Mohammad Farihin

Mohammad Farihin is part of the Finance and HR team at raiSE.
Prior to raiSE, he had more than 10 years of experience within the service industry; from handling a fitness club’s operations as a front-of-house manager to ensuring that the needs of premium class passengers as met as a Passenger Relations Officer with SATS. Most importantly, he is passionate in giving back to society and is involved in charity events organised by a recreation club he joined in his free time.

Fairuz Fadiah

Fairuz has 11 years of accounting and finance experience in the local social service sector. He has worked closely with local Volunteer Welfare Organisations as well as directly with beneficiaries for various social enterprise projects, focusing on youths at risk and ex-offenders. In his previous position, he helped lead his organisation from an accumulated surplus of $2mil to $10mil in 10 years. His professional background, coupled with his passion for the social sector, also prompted Fairuz to lead several fundraising events.

Erwin Chan

Erwin has a PhD in Biomedical Research and is interested in seeing systemic transformations in healthcare. During his post-graduate days, Erwin led medical and dental teams to Cambodia and facilitated social innovation projects in Indonesia and Australia. In 2012, Erwin co-founded a medical device startup that focused on developing solutions for chronic pain management. After failing, he became interested in understanding how the entrepreneurial experience can enrich the personal leadership journey. Erwin was part of the team that won first place at the MITx Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in 2016. He is a Certified Instructor for “Disciplined Entrepreneurship” for new venture creation. Erwin has taught in universities & polytechnics including Bioentrepreneurship at NTU. He also volunteers as a mentor in developing children & youths holistically.

Later, he ventured into startups, diversifying his entrepreneurial expertise across multiple roles and industries. Now, armed with invaluable experience, he aims to support Social Enterprises with a renewed perspective.
